WHAT IS HIIT?

HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training is a workout based primarily on aerobic exercise. HIIT isn’t necessarily about the exercise or the equipment. The name gives away the secret to its success… the intensity MUST be high to receive the benefits. In other words, you have to be willing to go harder in short but intense bursts.

Most HIIT workouts will only ask you to work or be “uncomfortable” for 10-75 seconds before offering a brief recovery period. Which is totally doable!

THE BENEFITS OF HIIT

HIIT workouts can produce amazing results as the aim is to keeps your heart rate up and burns a lot of fat in a short amount of time. This allows you to burn the same amount of calories as you would spend doing a more difficult workout for longer.

During a HIIT workout you will use different weights and barbells for a total body workout that will increase strength. Great news is that you will be burning calories for hours after the workout as this intense training will help to elevate your metabolic rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to bring to the class is comfortable workout clothes and runners, a water bottle and a towel. All equipment needed for the class will be available in the studio.
